A few months ago, I received a Stress-Away Roll On from the creators at Young Living, a world leader in essential oils and wellness solutions. The Roll On is extremely easy to apply on, making it a fun --and even habitual-- way of fighting off anxiety and stressful feelings. Young Living is the largest and most technologically advanced oil distillery in North America. Young Living has offices in Australia, Europe, Canada, Japan, and Singapore, but is originally headquartered in Lehi, Utah.

The geniuses behind the 1994 creation of this amazing essential oil distillery are farmers, Gary and Mary Young.

The two are committed to essential oil purity, encouraging millions of people around the world to discover and experience some of nature's most amazing gifts.

The Stress-Away Roll On is designed to battle the small, but stressful moments of everyday life. The Roll On provides four historically beneficial oils.

1. Copaiba

Copaiba is known for its gentle and woodsy aroma, an essential oil that originates from the trunks of a Brazilian evergreen tree.

The medicinal healing properties of the tree are found in the resinous oil of the tree, with a single tree producing up to 40 liters of resin. The resin was used by native Brazilians long before the arrival of the Europeans, only to be introduced later in 1625 by a Portuguese monk who observed that it could be used to heal wounds and remove scars. Now what's it got to do with stress and anxiety? Well, the oil functions as a neutral moisturizer and natural fragrance, that creates an inviting space.

2. Lavender

Lavender is the classic purple flower that functions as clean and natural fragrance for perfumes, soaps, fresheners, and beauty products. Lavender reduces Serum Cortisol, a key player in our body's response to stress. Lavender may also used to treat depression and insomnia.

3. Cedarwood

Cedarwood is an infusion of earthy, uplifting, and sweet aromas. True cedar is native to the Atlas mountains of Morocco. The oil from the cedar trees were used for embalming by the Ancient Egyptians. With Cedarwood essential oil, you can create a soothing, but powerful environment.

4. Ocotea

Ocotea is produced from the distillation of a an Ecuadorian tree. Ocotea trees are unique for their distinct separation into female and males trees. The female trees, however, are the only ones that produce this essential oil (s/o ladies!) Ocotea is a cousin of the cinnamon family, but therapeutically aids our body's natural response to irritation and injury.

The Stress-Away Roll On is a relaxing tool, but it can also simply be used to give a personal scent. The best part about all of the essential oils found in the Roll On, is that you can buy each one separately from YoungLiving!
